How do I place an order with BudgetDiamondsandGems.com™?
You can either call us at: 1-651-488-1222 and we will be happy to assist you, or you can simply submit your order on our website by using our customer service order form. You will receive a confirmation of your order by email. If you prefer to browse for products on BudgetDiamondsandGems.com™ (Budget) and order by phone, please call us at 1-651-488-1222. All information given to Budget by telephone or via internet is stored on a secure server
How can I be sure that I am buying a quality diamond?
Each diamond we sell is thoroughly examined and authenticated by our GIA diamond-grading graduate before shipping. We do not ship the diamond unless it meets our strict standards or we get your informed approval.
Is it safe to take delivery of expensive jewelry through the mail?
Yes, it is reasonably safe to ship diamonds and other precious gems via nationally known carriers such as UPS and FedEx. Insurance is available for purchase on all shipments.
What is the advantage in purchasing jewelry through BudgetDiamondsandGems™?
We have access to hundreds of distributors of merchandise including high quality diamond and gemstone jewelry. Our purchasing volume allows us to pass along the savings to our customers.
What are my payment options?
If you are shipping your order within the 50 United States, Puerto Rico, you may pay for your order with a Visa, MasterCard, cashier's check, certified bank check, or wire transfer.
Does BudgetDiamondsandGems.com™ charge sales tax on transactions?
BudgetDiamondsandGems.com™ (Budget) is based in Minnesota. Minnesota law requires us to charge sales tax on orders shipped to customers residing in Minnesota. Customers residing in other states may be required by their home states to pay a use tax on the transaction, however, Budget does not collect any out-of-state sales tax on these transactions.
What are my shipping options?
Orders within the United States are shipped using UPS or FedEx, and can be sent fully insured. Very sorry, we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes,or APO/FPO address.
What is your refund policy?

Diamonds and diamond jewelry:

BudgetDiamondsandGems.com™ (Budget) will refund the amount of purchase of DIAMONDS AND DIAMOND JEWELRY (excluding taxes and shipping charges) if returned to us in “new and unused condition” within 10 days of the shipping date marked on your original invoice by the customer in its original shipping container accompanied by a copy of the original invoice. "New and unused condition" means that there are no scratches, marks, or blemishes, security tags are still attached, and the item must not have been sized or altered in any way. We cannot accept a return of any item with any indication that it has been used. Upon receipt of the returned item, Budget will inspect the returned article to ensure that it is in its original condition and issue a refund. Custom made orders are not returnable. You must obtain a “Return for Inspection Number” (RIN) from BudgetDiamondsandGems.com before returning diamond or diamond jewelry merchandise. We will not accept any returned diamond or diamond jewelry merchandise without an RIN number. Contact a Customer Service Specialist by calling 1-651-488-1222 to obtain an RIN number prior to returning diamond or diamond jewelry merchandise.
Please allow ten business days from receipt by Budget to process your refund. Please note: Earrings that have been worn are not returnable.

Non-diamond items (except watches see below):

If you are not satisfied with your non-diamond purchase, you may return it to BudgetDiamondsandGems.com™ within 14 days of the shipping date marked on your original invoice for a full refund of your purchase price, less shipping and handling charges (unless you have received damaged or incorrect merchandise*). Please note that the merchandise must be undamaged and in new and unused condition in its original shipping container to be acceptable for refund or exchange. Custom/Special orders are not returnable. Refunds will be in the original form of payment, except for wire transfers which will be refunded via company check. Please allow ten business days to process your refund. Please note: Earrings that have been worn are not returnable.

Watches:

Any watch received damaged or defective must be returned within 10 days of the shipping date marked on your original invoice. After the ten-day deadline, all damaged or defective watches must be directed to the manufacturer's service center. No exceptions.

Earrings:

*Earrings that have been worn are non-returnable.

*If you receive damaged or incorrect merchandise, contact a Customer Service Representative no later than 5 business days after receipt at 1-651-488-1222. On a case-by-case basis, we will refund shipping charges up to a maximum of $5.00 upon our receipt of the defective or incorrectly shipped merchandise. If there is extensive damage to the box, please refuse delivery and contact a Customer Service Specialist immediately at 1-651-488-1222.

If your return exceeds five (5) of the same item or style number within a 30 calendar day period the return will be subject to a 15% restocking fee.

Insurance:

BudgetDiamondsandGems.com™ cannot be responsible for any damage that may occur during the return shipping. For your protection be sure to insure your package. If the price of the item you're returning is listed as: Less than $500: You can ship it via any carrier. Be sure to ship your item fully insured, and request a return receipt for confirmation that your shipment has reached its destination; More than $500: Ship your package via US Postal Service Registered Mail™, insured for the total value of the contents, and request a return receipt for confirmation that your shipment has reached Budget Diamonds and Gems (FedEx® and UPS® will not insure merchandise over $500.) Please note: Exchanges for “like” merchandise may not be an "even exchange" due to differences in the weight of the returned piece and the weight of the replacement piece.

All diamond and gemstone merchandise is visually inspected upon receipt for signs of wear prior to the issuance of any refunds, exchanges or credits.
How long will it take to get my order?
BudgetDiamondsandGems.com™ makes every effort to get your order to you as soon as possible. In-stock jewelry items are generally shipped within 3 days of confirmation of payment. Special and custom orders, out of stock items, backordered items or non-jewelry merchandise may take up to six weeks for delivery. Items shipped by UPS Ground may take longer also, depending on your location. Ask our Customer Service Representatives for shipping details when you place your order.
Can I send someone gifts from BudgetDiamondsandGems.com ™?
Due to the high rate of credit card fraud all orders will be shipped only to the billing address on the credit card unless you have another address listed on your account. Orders over $201.00 will require signature by the person named on the credit card used for the purchase. This policy helps to protect you from unauthorized use of your credit card.
How do I check the status of my order?
To check the status of your order, simply call us at 1-651-488-1222 or send us an email message. Customer Service Representatives will be pleased to help you. Please have your order number ready, or refer to your order confirmation email.
How do I track my order after it's been shipped?
The only way to track your order after it has been shipped is to call us. We do not release shipper’s tracking numbers as a security measure to protect your merchandise. Please call 1-651-488-1222 or send us an email message at info@budgetdiamondsandgems.com for assistance.
